We began our trip in Washington D.C. We spent two nights hanging out with our college friend and his great wife. The kids had a great time running around with his, and we had a great time catching up. We also got an amazing tour of the Capitol by Peter's first cousin who just retired as Parliamentarian. We got to go out on the Speaker of the House's balcony and in all kind of other restricted places. It was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity. Too bad the kids will probably not remember any of it! John thought we were in a church!! That night we spent the evening with other college friends and their children. We had a blast. Besides the many children, it felt like no time had passed!! :)
