We had a great Thanksgiving in Beaumont this year. We had hadThanksgiving dinner so many times this year, we were not looking forward to another, but as usual, Mom and Dad made it delicious! We had a full Thanksgiving meal the weekend before with my aunt and uncle, four Thanksgiving lunches with the kids at school, and a Friendsgiving (full Thanksgiving meal with friends). Mom and I tried to take the kids on an "adventure". Beaumont is actually home to the world's largest fire hydrant, not sure why, but true. There is a free fire museum we thought would be fun. We drove down there, and being the day after Thanksgiving, it was closed. We took some pictures with the unimpressed kids and went on to the next adventure, the coffee shop. I enjoyed driving around downtown Beaumont and looking at things, but John informed us that an adventure is not driving and looking at things. We got our coffee and cookies to go and headed to the park at the elementary school walking distance from my parents' house, and the kids enjoyed it. Oh well, so much for trying to do something fun!
